Laguna Gateway Inland Container Terminal (LGICT) will be transitioning from its current manual terminal operating system (TOS) to the Navis N4 system. This will put LGICT on par with other Philippine terminals of ICTSI that have successfully upgraded their TOS.
In preparation for this N4 upgrade, Subic Bay International Terminal Corporation (SBITC) hosted a workshop last July 20, 2022 that was attended by LGICT's project lead teams. As SBITC is one of the newest of the Philippine terminals to successfully shift to N4, they were able to give an overview of the transition process, provide first-hand experiences and learnings, and onsite exposure to the N4's application to the daily operational workflow. It was an opportunity to share best practices on how to navigate the changes in the system and more importantly, how these would affect the processes and activities of Operations and all other departments involved.
This upgrade is part of LGICT's commitment to further optimize terminal operations and deliver efficiency in key areas such as the gate and container yard. The new N4 TOS is targeted to be operational in LGICT yard by November 2022.
