Volunteers from Laguna Gateway Inland Container Terminal (LGICT) collected 169 kilograms of residual waste during the Lakeshore and Tributaries Cleanup Day on Feb. 13 at Barangay Palingon and Lingga Baywalk.

The LGICT team, led by Teresita Medina, health, safety, and environment officer, joined the cleanup organized by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office under the theme “In Celebration: Adopt a River Association of Calamba City.” The activity brought together local companies and schools to support the city’s environmental programs.

Through the cleanup, LGICT helped protect local waterways, underscoring the importance of the Calamba River to Calamba City’s ecosystem and long‑term environmental sustainability.
